Suspected Cultists Kills Female Graduate!

25 –year-old Miss Radah Emuobosan Elise Agbaje, a microbiology graduate of Delta State University, Abraka, was killed by suspected cultists in Agbor.

Radah was allegedly murdered by her assailants, suspected to be from the College of Education, Agbor, in the house of the younger sister of her mother, at about 2.00 am, while she was on the same bed sleeping with another girl. 

According to the grieving mother, “Radah, who made second class upper, collected her result, penultimate Friday, and went to show her father the result on Monday and she was here (Agbor) to show my younger brother.”

Confession of Boko Haram member: Why we can’t surrender

 

“Sometimes, I feel guilty of committing crimes against God. But our commanders always tell us that it is God’s work that we are doing. It is a terrible thing to be a member of the sect, but many foot soldiers of Boko Haram like me, cannot leave for fear of being killed.”

That was part of the confessions of a 22-years old fighter of the dreaded Boko Haram sect who was arrested on 6 October by security operatives and has since been helping them in their investigations.

The suspect, who the military in Borno State, for security reasons, simply called Omar, told journalists in Maiduguri, the state capital, last Friday, that hundreds of some of the recruited fighters, including those who had been with the sect for long, were itching to lay down their arms and embrace peace, but for the fear of being hunted and killed by their leaders.

  Stakeholders have expressed varying opinions over the seven months salaries owed Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, by the Nigerian Football Federation, writes ’TANA AIYEJINA 

The entire football world was held in shock and disbelief when Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi revealed on Wednesday that he had not been paid seven months salary by the Nigerian Football Federation.

It means the former Nigeria captain last got his salary in February, when he led the national team to a third Africa Cup of Nations title in South Africa.

“Everyone in my house go out every morning to work, and my younger sisters go to school while I stay home and sleep awaiting for their return. “I am not okay with staying idle so I decided to engage in something useful,” Grace said.

Neighbours Stab Woman With Broken Bottle Over Dustbin

The police in Lagos have arrested a couple, Mr and Mrs Solomon, for allegedly stabbing their neighbor, Miss Happiness Andrew, 25, during a quarrel over dustbin.

 

The victim, who has been hospitalised, was allegedly stabbed in the neck and face with a broken bottle and with a knife following a little misunderstanding.

The woman was rushed to Ajowa Hospital, Araromi, in the night immediately after the incident occurred where the doctor and nurses in the hospital battled to save her life.

The attack happened at their residence at 4, Modupe Ayode Street, Araromi area of Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

Many Killed In Yobe Boko Haram Attack

 

Suspected Islamist fighters stormed the city of Damaturu in coordinated raids on Thursday, burning at least four police buildings, said a senior police officer who requested anonymity.

The officer said there were casualties from the attack, which will be seen as a setback in the campaign to end the insurgency.
